Together for Mental Health: Mental Illness Awareness Week is Oct. 3-9

Each year, millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental health condition. However, mental illness affects everyone directly or indirectly through family, friends or coworkers.

NAMI is dedicated to raising awareness of mental illness, fighting discrimination and providing support through the annual Mental Illness Awareness Week this Oct. 3-9.

This year’s theme, “Together for Mental Health,” allows NAMI to focus on the importance of advocating for better care for people with a serious mental illness. Visit our Facebook page throughout Mental Illness Awareness Week for facts and ideas on how you can support those you care about who experience mental illness.
