Family-to-Family begins Sept. 21
Family-to-Family is a free, eight-week educational course for family members and caregivers of individuals with mental illness. Sessions will meet 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays Sept. 21 through Nov. 9.
Family members learn about various mental illnesses, treatments, medications, and rehabilitation. Participants learn self-care as well as problem-solving and communication skills. Many graduates of the program called it “life-changing” as they develop friendships with others in similar situations.
Peer-to-Peer begins Sept. 9
Peer-to-Peer is a free, eight-week educational program for adults with mental illness who are looking to better understand mental wellness and their journey towards recovery. Sessions will meet 6-8 p.m. Thursdays Sept. 9 through Oct. 28.
