New Support Groups Starting

New support groups starting! All are free and open to all! Unless otherwise indicated, programming takes place at NAMI’s offices, 1611 Peach St.,Suite 218. Registration for Coffee Connections and our Art Support Group is not required but appreciated by calling 814-456-1773 or online here.

Coffee Connections

Who it’s for: This group provides support for family members, caregivers, and loved ones of someone living with the everyday challenges of maintaining their mental health.

When and where: 5-6 p.m. Thursdays through Dec. 30 at the Tipsy Bean, 2425 Peach St.

Art Support Group

Who it’s for: The Art Support Group is for adults to learn how to use a creative outlet when dealing with any sort of mental health symptom.

When it meets: 6 to 7 PM Wednesdays through Dec. 30. 

What we’ll do: Therapy practices such as design a journal, draw emotions, create a vision board, and make our own suncatchers. All art supplies provided!

Family-to-Family Program

Who it’s for: NAMI’s signature Family-to-Family program is for family, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions.

When it meets: Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov 30-Jan. 18 at NAMI’s offices.

What we’ll do: This program provides information and strategies for taking care of the person you love. You’ll also find connections with other families in similar situations. You’re not alone.
