Connecting Hands is a group of local volunteers who support area nonprofit organizations through garage sale fundraisers. They have chosen NAMI of Erie County to be the recipient of the proceeds from their next sale, which will be May 3rd and 4th. Vice President of Connecting Hands, Lil Laskowski says, “We chose NAMI because we were very interested in mental health. It has been in the media so much lately and we recognize the need to educate the community.” NAMI of Erie County is excited to team up with Connecting Hands in order to raise money for our Family-to-Family Education Program.
Connecting Hands gladly accepts and collects a wide range of donations for their garage sales. However, they do not accept clothes, electronics, or exercise equipment. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Connectco Electric located at 3716 McClelland Avenue. The sale will take place at Connectco Electric on Friday, May 3rd 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 4th, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We hope to see you all there! For more information on how to help with the garage sale, visit www.namierie.org or www.facebook.com/NAMIErie or call the NAMI of Erie County office at 814-456-1773.
